Singalila National Park is Located on the Singalila ridge in Darjeeling district. Singalila National Park is bordered by Sikkim on the north & Nepal on the west. Singalila National Park is situated at a height of about 1,200m above mean sea-level. The 2 highest peaks in We Bengal, Sandakphu is 3,630 m & Phalut is 300 m fall inside the Singalila National Park.
Phalut is the 2nd highest peak of West-Bengal, india.. Phalut is located inside the Singalila National Park, which is near of the border West-Bengal Sikkim and Nepal . A small bunk house of the Indian Army can be found on the peak. The indigenous tribes that live-near Falut are called Falutians. They have worshipped the peak as a god for more than three hundred years. Phalut refer to the peak as “Omna Re Ay”.
Japanese Peace Pagoda is located on the slopes of the Jalapahar Hill. the pagoda can be reached by foot or on car. The Shanti Stupa was established by Nipponzan Myohoji and a Japanese Buddhist order.
