Anjadiv Islands

With a place of 1.five sq km,

Anjadiv Islands (Anjadip or Angediva) is the biggest

of the karwar Panchdiva chain of 5 Islands.

Anji stands for 5 in Tamil

it denotes the 5th Island.

It is a 30 min boat experience four Km.

This idyllic Island is domestic to the Indian Navy.

The island has a few stays of

the bygone Portuguese era,

a few vintage homes and Chruch ruins.

Portuguese poet Luis de Camoes defined

it as the “Island of Amours”.
