Siang River

This is one of the longest rivers in North-east India

Siang is a tributary of the Brahmaputra River

passes thru Arunachal Pradesh, Assam

It crosses the inner most gorge on the planet at 1650 m deep

cuts thru a mountain variety over a hundred seventy five kms lengthy

at round 70 kms from Assam throughout its course.

The phrase Nimoo means “deep pool”

in Tibetan language in addition to Hindi.

It passes thru Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh

after which enters Assam close to Chabua.

It has some tributaries inclusive of Doyang, Dihang, Tameni and Indravati.
