ASHRAM DARSHAN

Gandhiji lived in a small hut in Sabarmati, now known as Hridaya (Heart) Kunj. The desk used by Gandhi, his khadi kurta, the yarn he spun, some of his letters, etc., are places of great historical value.

Nandini
Located to the right of Hridaya Kunj. It is an old Ashram guesthouse that accommodates guests from India and abroad.

Vinoba Kutir
He who stayed here is named after Acharya Vinoba Bhave. It is also known as Mirahi Kutir after Miravahen, a disciple of Gandhiji and the daughter of a British Admiral.

Upasana Mandir
Open-air prayer house between ‘Hridaya Kunj’ and ‘Magan Kutir’ (the hut where Maganlal Gandhi, the administrator of the ashram, stayed).
Here Gandhi referred to individual questions after prayer, analyzed as the head of his family and offered solutions.
