MAA DHAMARAI TEMPLE

The Dhamrai temple of the Goddess is at Dhamara, where the Dhamra river meets the sea Bay of Bengal. The Dhamara temple is about 60 Kms from the bhadrak district headquarters. The temple is surrounded by Basudebpur in the North, Kalibhanjadia in the South Chandbali in the West and Bay of Bengal in the East. According to one of the historical legends, one merchant namely Dhaneswar who often traded with the Singhalies had brought a deity namely “Pashana Mangala” from Srilanka and had established
